In my quest to meet new people and not spend so much time at work, I ventured out to enjoy a wonderful evening of culinary delights and Scrabble. These two innocent looking ladies, who I am now aware, have a side hustle as Scrabble Sharpshooters, royally whooped my alphabetically challenged butt! It was so much fun! Not only was it mind stimulating (hell, I couldn’t even figure out how to keep score with their fancy wooden Scrabble abacus!) but these two sharks were a laugh-a-minute!
Later I was treated to a wonderful dinner from Pat’s mad scientist kitchen. She is a fabulous chef and has all sorts of amazing “do-dads”. It’s the kind of kitchen I dream about. Gotta love a woman with fermenting crocks and 5 types of un-soy sauce! Her Asian stir-fry with shrimp, beef, Shitake shrooms, and bok choy was the bomb and absolutely perfect for a low carb diet. I had a blast!
The next step in my Red Shoe Life process is to start to entertain at my own home again. It has been a very long time since I have invited people over, so my goal for this week is to introduce myself to my recipe books, pick a day/time, and find someone who is willing to eat my cooking!
